Anybody know what size the sparking plug wires are for stock Commando? 7 mm? 8mm?
And what are your favorite plug and coil boots?

I had a plug wire come unplugged from a coil yesterday, so I figure it's time to replace them. Would like to imitate stock, with solid wire and no resistors. Twin Lucas coils with towers.

7mm solid core and just match the boots and clips to the wire.
BUT, BUT, BUT, Andover just released remakes of the original style with the 45° angled coil boots, I would get them if you want to mimmick the originals, they don't have the CHAMPION logo though and they are wire wound, not solid.
All the best.

I got a set long time ago from MAP in FL that looked right. They fit and worked.

The new AN wire wounds have little resistance much like the automotive ones fitted to many a modern car. Due to being wire wound, the suppression is achieved by the impedance allegedly. I have being using wire wounds for a year now with a Boyer and Iridiums and would use them as preference.
