Over the weekend I went to a Wedding in San Luis Opispo. Saw some of the sites while I was up there.

Sunday,

I've seen this before, and never get tired of it. It is trully awe inspiring.
Reservations are highly recommended.

Monday,
We were in Solvang.
Went and saw the miniature Horses, smaller than Shetland Ponies.

Suoercharged Vincent from the 50's. Check out the CV carb, that's not an SU, it's a one off.

Loved this thing, two 125 twins stacked.

Not all bikes were on display because he doesn't have enough room.
There were also some that aren't shown on the web site,

It was that actual one.

Apparently one would bolt one these into a bicycle frame and voila, a motorcycle. The wheel was driven off the exhaust cam, not the crank. It also had no intake cam.

Anyone ever seen a Husqvarna V-twin four stroke?
It was there and much more. It's a gear heads delight.

The battery in my camera died, so I took some with my phone, I'll try to post some.

I made it to Solvang in '08, but wasted an hour trying to find the place.

Had to scoot on out of there to get up to San Jose before dark.

What an incredible collection. Now we have our new-to-us 32' motorhome, that part of California went up the totem pole of places to go and visit. We have an old friend in Banning and will probably do a trip down there next spring. A side trip to Solvang is definitely on the itinerary.

You might consider planning around the AHRMA Willow Springs race weekend...

Definitely worth it.
Their hours are Sat and Sun 11 - 5.
But are very accomodating. If you give then any kind of notice, they will open it up during the week, for anyone......
If you show up unanounced, there is note on the door for you to call them.
Don't be bashful, they love showing their stuff!!!
