I have several bikes without any storage.. side bags or ?
It frequently poses a problem when I have an unplanned need to stop at the store for some items.

Then I stumbled onto this tiny foldable backpack from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G46RH1O/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Solution for bikes without side bags

Pictures don't do this backpack justice. First, the packed up pouch is amazingly small, and will easily fit under the seat or behind side covers on just about any bike. Even better, the "unfurled" backpack is plenty large and roomy to tote home all but the biggest purchases.

Of course, when I opened this thing the first time, I fully expected I'd never get the thing packed up again (ever try to put one of those car covers back in its original bag?). Wrong.. just open the zippered pouch (which is an integral part of the whole one-piece unit), cram everything back inside (no fancy folding required), and put it back under your seat when finished.

At $15, this is one of the ingenuous bargains of the day, and I keep one on every one of my bikes, even those with side bags.

Just ordered one and will see how it fits, might pack one on each bike as you have.
Thanks,

I'm really cautious about backpacks. One of my wife's friends had one on when he came off. In his backpack a bottle of sunscreen. He was wearing modern leathers with armor but no back shell. Needless to say when he landed it was on the sunscreen that snapped his back putting him in a wheelchair. He lay there for several hrs. Just a fluke I know but it has always stuck with me. I tend to us an over the shoulder style. An least it ain't strapped to my back and there is a chance it could fling out of the way. Alternately I put goods on the tank.
Just my 5 cents worth.

I'm a backpack guy so I'm gonna get one for sure. we have 6 young kids so always needing to take stuff with us or pick stuff up. Great for when I get that phone call asking me to stop by the store :) thx for posting

I likely pack as much or more cargo as anyone on my Cdo's and modern w/o any racks or bags on w/o camel hump and objects bumping me, so ask what is the motivation or logic that makes your back + pack a cargo carrier? It didn't take me long to rack up or bag Cdo's but sport-modern bike is problematic to fit a rack and also ungainly high and far off tail can bother handling/wind effort and keep load from swaying. If fashion conscious enough which I do like, why not color coordinate an outfit.

A long time friend Doug Internet Annoyance, banished after a photo history conflicts with 961's'r] was rear ended last summer so hard bike shoved out from under so car grill hit him to send him flying quite a ways and badly injured but thinks the HD case cover in his back pack prevented completely breaking his spine to cripple or kill him. If ya ride only one logic applies, spoken or not, is this a good day to go. So anything goes that feels good to ya at the time.
