Solo Manx style seat to Slimline?

I am about to order a solo manx style seat for my slimline frame and just noticed that on Clubman's site they state that you need to cut down the bracket that holds the frame tie stud? I don't like the sound of that if I want to return the bike to stock. Anyone have any alternative ideas? I really didn't want to be cutting of frame tabs and brackets, etc. What exactly is involved in the shortening of the bracket as stated on Clubman's website?

Here's the wording from their website: " Frame Tie Stud - The left and right rear loops of the slimline frame are tied together above and forward of the upper shock mounts. This is done by brackets welded to each loop and a section of tubing that runs between them, it all being held together with a long steel stud. To fit our Manx seats these brackets must be shortened and the stud either rethreaded and shortened or replaced. We now offer a replacement stud in stainless steel which allows your choice of nut style and which can be trimmed if desired/needed without fears of rusting. - #A654"

Nevermind. I spoke to the guy at Clubman and he said that I just need to cut off this portion of the bracket/tube where I drew the yellow line so that it's flush with the frame tab. Obviously not a big deal but it was hard to figure out what to do when I don't have the seat yet. :)

Tell us that you are not going to do anything until you actually have the seat in your hands....

Oh yes.... i will certainly be waiting.
Maybe you could cut slots into the seat pan with a dremel tool or similar grinder/ cutting wheel , to allow the tabs to go up into the foam. +1 on waiting until you havethe seat in hand
