Soaking new swing arm bushes in oil?

I am about to fit new bushes to my Mk3 swing arm. Do I need to soak the bushes in oil beforehand and what grade should I use? 140!!!

Any reason not to use those felt parts on the earlier (non-sealed) system?
Looks like a good idea.

I'm sure it's possible although the 'sealed' spindle and bushes were shortened to make room for the disc wicks.

So if one has purchased an oversize spindle, is it longer than the "sealed" version?
