Simon - Dominator Naked

As cool as it could be, I don't love it. It's all over the place. Naked frame, gloss painted tank, matte finish air box, mud guard and tail cowl, half black engine with polished valve cover, cat and silencers. It's a mess. Would look much better with the open exhaust, matte finished aluminum tank, unpainted, engine all one or the other. Wonder how many miles are on it.

Those silencers couldn’t have a more ‘these are only staying on till it leaves the forecourt’ look if they’d tried !

I think the Dominator is perfectly shaped for a set of high exhausts like the ones on the factory racers from the early seventies.
Big primary on the left side, twin high exhaust with reverse cones on the right side.
Black chrome of course.

Oh, with the exhaust headers out of the way, a chin mounted oil cooler down low.
You can then have a clear unaverted view of that motor.

That’s the tank it’s shipped with.
It comes with the megaphones and brushed bare aluminum tank, billet clutch and brake levers, CRG mirrors, and foot control frames for megaphones.
Here’s mine.
 
In America do you get both tanks? The one it is shipped with and the aluminium?
Correct.
The Naked is shipped with the gray tank fitted along with the long pipes, standard black levers, and the long foot control A frames.

The brushed aluminum tank, megaphones, billet levers, short A frames, billet mirrors are all separately packaged.

mine was already fitted with the megaphones, billet levers and small indicators, came with other pipes, hangers, foot plates, locking fuel cap, should i have received the original levers, indicators and standard tank?

Is this a Moto Corse or Norton prototype ? And is that a silver painted frame not Naked ? I wonder whose making those pipes ? Very different and nice looking . Also that oil cooler mount looks angled just right too.

That is one totally bitchin' ride.

I'll take one with the following mods:

1. No exhaust wrap.
2. Ceramic coated exhaust header/silencer to eliminate blueing
3. Maybe heat shields to avoid melted knees/legs.
3. and of course, a chin mounted oil cooler.

Just a little concerned with the breather tubes exiting over the rear wheel though.

Just wonder why Norton doesn't build eccentrics into the rear axle.
This would guarantee perfect front to back alignment when doing chain adjustments, and make the bike even more unique to buyers.

Yes I expect Norton to build and weld the frame straight. If they can't, that would preclude the purchase all together, no?

But regardless, definitely a slick looking piece of conveyance.

Silver Painted frame.
Oil cooler is original Norton.
I believe it’s Moto Corse going by the display.

Also noticed the arm and frame are MIG welded. Not TIG like the Naked.

Plus more cushion on the seat lol.
I prefer the 1/2” (13mm) foam seat.

You should have received the gray plastic tank, standard levers, standard exhaust, standard foot control frames and turn signals and mirrors, and screw on gas cap.
 
My Naked the day it was delivered to Indian of Orange County in August 2017.
