I have just installed a new set of Vernier Isolastics on my 74 Norton Commando I am restoring the Bike. I have followed the instructions for the installation but there seems to be a lot of clearance between the bolt and the left hand side I have not gone any further than just installing the swing arm and cradle but the clearance allows the swing arm to move side to side. I thought the bolt would be a very tight fit on the whole Isolastic? Secondly the swing arm does not appear to be centered on the frame I thought this set up would be self centering? Any advice or insights would be appreciated
Thx Jack

there was discussion on this a few weeks ago ,do a search, the Norvil set which I bought was garbage and had a huge clearance bolt/stud to iso tube bore, I machined press in fit bushings to fix this.

99...that happened to me. i have a 69 model, my 1st Norton. It's the standard mk iii iso kit versus the iso "conversion" kit. mk iii front tube is shorter, so the through-bolt of a "conversion kit" runs out of thread & the adjusters won't cinch down anywhere close. i still have a new mk iii front iso mount/tube on the shelf.
