Back to that 350 Honda for a moment. I've often said it should be a required study for

any engineering student. They made a great small cheap bike miles ahead of anything else

and it was sold just as an ordinary bike. In many ways more important than a 750 four.

I once rode one that had been sitting for two years rotting away and with only an oil change

air in the tyres and GREASE on the chain I issued forth. 800+ miles, flogged relentless and it

never missed a beat. Ran it locally for several years after that. Rear shocks, swinging arm bushes

were not up to snuff even new but otherwise, what a great bike.
