They are great bikes to ride, I have a 2005 Thruxton that is also very smooth around 3,500 to 4,500. You can hardly feel any type of vibration in it. It took me a few tries to get the jetting correct as i live at 7,400 ft. and take regular rides to 10,000+ elevation. They are very well built and a joy to ride.
