Hi guys, any direction you can point me in would be greatly appreciated.
Ive got a quote from McGimpsey Removals and they are extremely helpful and prompt but it seems high as its 3 times the price of getting one across from the USA
Re: shipping a bike from Northern Ireland to Western Austral
Remember Aussie customs and agricultural diseases clearance can be a hassle, I would get the bike steam cleaned before packing it up and get a letter from the company confirming that it has been done...... It's a lot further to Aussie than the US.

In the same process from England , shipping it there is ok , getting thro customs etc looks to be a bloody long and expensive nightmare , its all on hold at the moment :x

Take a look at Horizons unlimited web site. It's going to be cheaper from London, more chances of combining your bike as a part load with Aussies returning home.
The cost of your bike will be determined by volume, one way to reduce this is to secure the bike at the front by removing front wheel and mudguard and securing the front of the bike by the front wheel spindle. This shortens the crate by a lot and also lowers it a bit. You can find room for the wheel on one side of the bike.
