Shift lever length puzzle?

I have a Norton (or is it a hybrid?) shift lever that is about 1" longer than the "standard" shift lever. I call it the standard length as I have similar ones on my Model 50, ES2, Atlas and 750 Commando Fastback. This one shift lever is shaped similar, but the baseline is approx 1" longer. Any idea what model Norton it came from?
