Serious situations require serious tools
 
Working in maintenance for over 20 years it was easier to use the heat axe on old rusty bolts than spending time to undo them, just blow the top off them and its more fun that way, also a big hammer helps lol.

I usually only use the sledge hammer for assembly of English motorcycles.
 
As supply of imperial hammers has diminished after the demise of the English motorcycle industry, I only have one left which I obtained for my first Norton back in the sixties. The bigger ones became worn out, as I helped friends with their Triumphs.

I also find they get worn out when destroying anything non-Norton......
