Serial number problems

I am trying to find out the year model and size of my engine. I have spent all morning looking at different sources online and still can't make sense of the information as it pertains to my engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't feel comfortable with sharing the entire serial number then give us everything but the last three digits.

Crank case: G15CSR/115065
Cylinder head: 25319
Gearbox: MA8883CSR
Cylinder block: 24237

For one thing it's not a Commando. And not technically a Norton. Well, sort of. I will say that I believe the CSR is relatively desirable although an engine alone may have greatly diminished value.

Have been away for too long. Looking forward to my new shop though. She Who Must Be Obeyed keeps asking if I have found "our baby" yet. I always regretted selling it but still looking for 70 Commando Roadster s/n 137706. We were the original owners of this bike and would like to see it in the family again..

Check out the hybrid sub group on the AJS and matchless groups.io list server - LOT of G15CSR owners there that can help - independent from the main owners club
