He made the primary out of a Commando primary. Clever man

Crash bar. Teflon tips. has already proven to be effective.
( also holds a spare cyl. head oil line..)

Norvil, but narrower clutch drum ( -8 mm) and GT 3 belt.
Case is scaled down Commando. (shorter, narrower..)

This photo reminds me of riding from Livorno, Italy back to Amsterdam in the spring of 1970, on my '68 P11A . Wish I had some photos to show. I rarely used a camera back then and I would have been too cold and wet to take pictures anyway. Crossing the snowy summits in the alps without any decent riding gear is not something I would want to do again. The bike was fine though. It helped that I was only 26. My helmets off to you for building and riding a great vintage machine in a truly challenging environment.
