I need to clean the oil tank area and frame on my Commando in an attempt to locate an oil leak. I have a can of S100 cycle cleaner as was recommended here on the forum, and I'm wondering if there are any cautions that I need to observe. Like, "don't spray it on...." or whatever. Thanks.

Works great
Don’t leave on In hot sunlight
Rinse lightly and a lot

It's basically, concentrated detergent / soap. Just keep it off your chain! I used brake cleaner in a re-used shower spray bottle and an old rag and all was fine.

That brand works well breaking down oily deposits , follow directions and you will be pleased with results , sometimes if deposits are extra heavy you may repeat , safer than using a brush or rag …. can do a nice job on entire bike if you want to brighten up the appearance … I have heard repeated several times a year it can dull bright work though so ….

This stuff works freekin amazing for the final wash after using WD-40 to clean the chain lube residue off the rear of the bike.
