When the rocker spindles are installed with the oil feed slots lined up with the spindle locking plates, the slots are not lined up with the drillings coming from the banjo. The spindle partially blocks the drilling. Was this an attempt to restrict flow to the rockers? This condition is normal, I hope.

You need a restriction or the flow is too high and your big ends suffer. The rocker shafts are turned so the holes are 180 degrees out from the rocker feed holes.

I think he's asking about the slots in the outer ends of the rocker spindles not lining up exactly with the cylinder head drillings and that seems fairly common. The drilling can be opened to align it with the slot but as you say, the rocker shaft hole being on the side away from the rocker arm drilling is the restriction.

Correct L.A.B., so maybe it’s not normal to be misaligned. Since there seems to have never been a problem running it like this, maybe I should leave well enough alone.

Some seem worse than others and this question has been raised before.

It doesn't seem to be a problem but as mentioned you could open the drilling in the direction of the slot or grind the edge of the spindle slot where it covers the hole.
