Is there a method of finding proper valve adjustments when the cam profile is unknown.Only info I have is a hotter cam was installed . Previous owner has since passed on and did all his work himself. Thanks for any insight

Yea . Stick a Feeler Guage in it . Opposite valve fully open , CHECK what he's SET them at .
If both intakes are the same , both exhausts the same gap .BEFORE you fiddle with them . You HAVNT been fiddling with them .HAVE YOU .

Then , maybe . Set all at .020 , chuck a dial guage on a arm , read lifts . Acutually READ THE LIFTS before you setem at 20

THEN , setting em @ 20 ( or 22 and use a 2 thou feeler guage ) And a Degree Wheel ( 360 deg. protractor ) NOTE
where they open & shut . THEN search ' CAMS ' & Timing . for matching figures . with a calculator handy .
