Thank you Les.
I bought a set of taps, 5/16 too, in the British thread pattern i know as "cycle" or 26 tpi.
But i cant understand if the taps are BSC or BSF or ...! http://www.ebay.it/itm/261822749522?ssP ... 1439.l2649
Ciao
Piero
Piero, 5/16 cycle thread (BSC), has 26 tpi (turns per inch).
5/16 BSF (British standard fine), has 22 tpi .
It is usefull to buy yourself a threadgauge, to identify the different threads.
Originally, you said: "I need to rethread the cylinder barrels for fix the head studs."
The two (067561) "head studs" that screw into the front of the barrel are 5/16", however the (060401) head bolts (and thus the threads for the head bolts in the barrel) are 3/8" (x 26 BSC) but you didn't mention the head bolts.
Hi Les,
Sorry for my previous wrong explanation.
Very well, i have the 3/8 BSC too.
Please Les, what drill i will need for the Atlas barrells to 3/8 studs?
