Holy crap what's next?
Borough Superior, Excelsior, Ariel square four.......

They've certainly got deep pockets, and they're tapping into huge worldwide markets with these small bikes.

i'll take the girl in the promo film they can keep the bike
So do I, The Jawa brand name does not stir a lot of emotion in mainland Europe, it stood for cheap and nasty two strokes from the easten bloc. However, in their defence I must say that these bikes went on almost forever.

...and another thing, they've hired the better aesthetic design minds that were left behind by all the Japanese manufacturers who like everything to look like a rocket ship that hit a brick wall, lifting the tail up to the sky, with hippopotamus nose mufflers (the bikes, not the designers), etc...

A two-valve Jawa speedway engine in a featherbed frame is almost as good as a Manx - and is much cheaper.

Bruff and Ariel names both back on the showroom floor already.

Only for the deep pocketed tho...

Ariel uses 1200 V4 Honda with a seriously unique frame wrapped around it.

Bruff was designed from a clean sheet in France (?!?) and I think that’s where they’re built.

Both, especially the Bruff, seriously divide opinion.

I had a Puch 175 SVS, good bit of kit and bloody comfy, and quality to work on.

A cheap Jawa single like that would be ideal for the winter rides to work.

My dad has been dragging one around for the better part of 30 years. I took it apart completely when I was 16, simple engineering and dare I say it, elegant design. I still hunt for them on Craigslist. I think they're great.

Mahindra also bought BSA. Wonder where they are with that? The pictures of the "prototypes" looked pretty cool a lot better than the late 60's and early 70's ones produced by BSA.
