Anyone know of anyone who builds repro P11 frames?

Thanks,
Ed

Well, not exactly, but FrameCrafters make custom frames and have featherbed and seeley in their website.

Reproducing the headstock casting would be almost impossible, but if you want a really good frame maker see John Hand Racing who now makes Rickman Metisse frames.

JHR / Rickman, Mojo, CCM and similar frame designs will outclass the G85/P11 frame in terms of weight and/or stiffness by use of higher grade steels. Especially the headstock design is a deficient at the P11 frame and I would embrace a bearing seat improvement any day. The swinging arm support and bearings could benefit from a work-over as well.

Being a rooky to these bike makes and models, is a G15 CS frame same as or similar to a P11 frame, or very different? We have a G15 frame and some P11 engine /transmission parts.

Hi Rondo,
The frames are quite different. The engine and transmission parts (except for mounts) are mostly interchangeable but "chassis" parts such as rear fender, oil tank, side covers, foot peg mounts etc are not.
The petrol tanks, I believe, are interchangeable.

Thank you, we have P11 parts but , except for the engine block, can not tell the difference between Commando heads, cylinders, transmissions, etc. We will most likely list these when we can figure them out. Not sure how we're goin to do this except by sending pictures to this site and asking? Thanks again for your response.

Hi Rondo,
Regarding differences between engine and drive train P11 parts and Commando parts, there are some major differences. Cylinder heads and barrels are distinct. Primary drive and clutch are very different. Transmission mainshaft, at least is different.
Certainly, if you send pics to this site, you will find the answers.

Feel free to PM me, "conversations" on this site. I'm not alerted to you questions on a daily basis unless you reply directly to my post or PM me.

But I thought your original question was differences between P11 and G/N15.
