Been doing more research than work in the last few months and came across some interesting information regarding Lucas electrical systems. Seems they wont work unless you get all the smoke back into them. I looked all over for some replacement smoke and happened across some at an estate sale. Thankfully no one there knew the value of this so I got it pretty cheap. Hopefully this will fix my light switch and rectifier problems.

Only thing is I cannot tell if the smoke in it is any good, is there a shelf life on this stuff and if so how do I get or make more. Also it did not have the Churchill tool to get the smoke in the wiring harness. Any ideas where I could find one or possibly make my own?

Haha, I have read so many times on this that I actually found someone who had made a jar of this. I came across an old jar for a few bucks and made the sticker in PowerPoint and mod podged it on.

Just thought I would see what you guys think!

Uh Uh wraped, ain't going fool me with that smoke scam again. For one thing I found there ain't a full charge of smoke in one jar and for another thing I found these Lucas harness can all generate plenty of smoke on their own. After smelling the real deal I now have my doubts on the source of this bottled stuff.

Hey now HotBot, I aint selling this stuff, just need to know if this is any good. If you make any save some and I will drop by for a fill up!

What, you don't have a jar of this stuff laying around in your shed? Well, if ya don't I might can hook you up. I mean you know you have to have the proper container and just any jar will not do. I would be willing for a small fee to make sure you have a proper repository to save all that smoke you keep letting get away. See, if you had the right jar you would have solved all your problems!

I am spending way too much time on stupid stuff! Got the bike in pieces still and have not touched it in weeks, just too many other things going on I guess. Summer is my busy time anyway!

Did get me some posters with the exploded parts so when I get it going back together I wont have to rely on my squint and hope it is right out of my manual and lost glasses!

Wish I could get us our own house so I could get a proper shop up and not have my stuff all over the garage. Anyone need a house in Hernando, MS? I will make you a good deal, payoff and it is yours! Gotta get rid of that house!

I was close to your neck of the woods a few weeks ago. Had to go to North Little Rock for some classes. Thought about getting up with you to get away from there for a while. Maybe next time I am over in hillbilly land!

We used to play jokes on new guys to the squadron and once when I was on deployment aboard the Essex with a CH-46 command we sent a new guy out to get an APU exhaust "sample" with a plastic garbage bag. Told him to hold it open and jump up and get it full then tie it off and bring it back to the shop (not during flight ops) you should have seen his face when he came back in and "the penny had dropped".
