I don't know why I bought relays with diodes, it was 3 or 4 years ago I believe. Probably just didn't know any better at the time. Managed to track down a couple 4 pin micro relays without diodes this morning. Put them in and all is well now. I added an additional fused wire for the horn so it's ready to go when I can get my hands on another relay.
