I thought it would be handy to pass on the name of products that you have used and recommend. I know some folks will say, well we all know about JB Weld, (for example), but hopefully some younger folks will read this and find something they weren't aware of.

So I'm going to start with ...

Tank sealer https://cwylde.co.uk/product/flowli...t-for-all-metal-fibreglass-and-plastic-tanks/

JB Weld original https://www.jbweld.com/product/j-b-weld-twin-tube
Have you used that flowliner yourself on a fibreglass tank?

I have posted about ShineSeal ( formerly know as Zoopseal ) on several threads . Like others here I am a skeptic when it come to snake oil products but this stuff works . It is a chemical sealant for metals . Ridiculously easy to apply. Simply wipe on for matte
finishes ( crankcases , etc ) and wipe on and buff out with the included polish for the shiny bits - timing covers , etc. Works beautifully on aluminum sand castings . Expensive - I think the mini kit shown is about 100 bucks these days .

Here is a current picture of my ES 2 done 13 years ago or more - I live at the Jersey shore , the corrosion capital of the universe .

It is not a polish - all that work needs to be done beforehand .

I have ordered a Shine Seal kit from the Australian agent - will be some weeks.
Will report back on results!
Cheers
