Me too. And to think you are still alive. Amazing.

You'll love that Pazon. Fit according the the instructions and forget. When I fitted mine several years ago, I put a timing light on it and it was exactly 31 degrees. Never a problem since.
I receive a email from jim Schmldt and he advise me to use 28 degrees with the HC pistons

Yves, I too want to see more photos!

The last time I heard of an Andrews coil was on my hot-rod Honda CB550 with Yoshimura 590 kit. I had a Martek EI with Andrews coils. I could ALMOST keep up with my KZ1000 till about 100MPH then the big KZ would walk away.

In 2010 I got to race two races at Willow Springs as monkey on a 2005 LCR GSX1000 Formula 1 sidecar, THAT was the craziest ride of my life, unbelievably fun that we won in class both races, and the owner won the championship that year.
The LCR outfit was from the new generation side cars with the engine behind the pilot, I stop racing before the new generation.

Yves, I remember you posting a while back about fine tuning the jetting on the Big Spender. Was this when it was a 920? If so can you remind me what you did please, I can’t seem to find the thread...

Nigel,
I try to find it, no results; it must be the 920 if I remember well
Yves

Yves, I think the info I was looking for was in an email exchange we had. I’ve found it now. Thanks.

Hi There,
Good news, the Seeley is almost ready to run, maybe tomorow.
What I did the last days:
Reset the ignition from 31 to 28 degrees.
Put the Ducati clutch plates in and put the clutch cable and adjusting.
Put the battery in the frame.
Put the starter engine in.
Do the wirring for ignition and starter.
Put the FCR Keihin.
Put the oil lines and oil filter.
What I still need to do before starting the engine:
Put the exhaust. I must polish it first.
Put oil.
I still have other things to do like lights an so on, but I can not waith to start the engine.
I hope that Fabien can be there to make a video from the first start.

I find some pics from stunts I did, I hope to put it tomorow, there is one you will like, I was the only one in the world to do it. Expect sensations.
Yves

Hi there,
Before looking at the photos, I have to explain the stunt to you: an 8mm thick multiplex box shaped like a coffin, ten bales of straw and 40 liters of gasoline. I enter the coffin without fireproof clothes and without breathing apparatus.
My assistants put the straw on the coffin and sprinkle gasoline and set it on fire.
The stunt is to stay as long as possible before the intervention of the firefighters.
I started this stunt in 1981, I had to do it about twenty times, The last time in Zandvoort in Holland in 2007, most of the time I held 1 minute thirty, but in Zandvoort I wanted to beat my record, the goal : reach the two minutes.
The problem is that after a minute the fire has taken all the air in the coffin, so you have to stay the rest of the time in apnea.
The second problem: the heat!
The only connection with the outside is via a heating tube, an assistant dictates the seconds elapsed via the tube, I answer with a hammer on the tube, as long as I answer he knows that everything is going more or less well, when I no longer answer he signals to the firefighter to intervene.
In Zandvoort I did the stunt on the beach, but there was a storm at sea, so a lot of wind.
After two minutes the firefighter intervenes, but while the flames have disappeared, the wind awakens the fire, after two and twenty minutes I had fire in the coffin, so I decide to push the lid of the coffin myself and I find myself in the amid the flames, luckily a firefighter aimed his lance at me and saved my life.

I am under the straw, a assistant put the gasoline over it and the man on the ground dictates the seconds.

Hmmmmm, Holy Smokes, Nutter, Bloody crazy.. Hmmmm . Very Brave. Would you do it again. Whew. I would not have the guts do it even once. I'll stick to making music

All the best with the Seeley, from NZ, country of champions.

Hi Nigel,
What do you mean with Hmmmm?

Yves, you know I’m British right? That means at least half of what I ever say is some form of sarcasm !

‘hmmmm,’ is the noise people make when you ask someone a really difficult question and they have to think hard searching for an answer ...

... as if I’m having to think hard about whether or not being buried inside a petrol covered bonfire might perhaps cause you a PROBLEM WITH HEAT ...

And that it was only your SECOND biggest problem...

I thought it more subtle, and polite than writing: HOLY CRAP YVES, YOU'RE A F*CKING NUT JOB !!

And me being an ex-pat Yank in NZ went straight for the jugular.

Yves, as one who has enjoyed a conservative life it is a joy to read of the exploits of one who has lived closer to the edge. Keep up with the tales.
Your recent unfortunate accident not withstanding it seems that motorcycling has been one or your less risky pass times!!!

Nice!! CRAZY, but nicely done Mr.... Thanks for sharing that story and photos. How did you end up doing that kind of stuff Yves?
