rear brakes, drum and hub

the pins that hold the brake shoes on have ground into the back of the drum. Is there a spacer or something that sits on the dummy axle before the brakes shoes and plate get fitted into the drum? also, the shoes seem a liitle glazed. Is there any way to deglaze them? and what is the best way to take the sheen off the drum withouth having it turned? emory cloth? thanks much

Washer part no 06 7603 sits on top of the stub axle and against the brake backplate. Have a look at http://www.nortonmotors.de/ANIL/Norton% ... s-list.php It is about 040" thick if I remember.
180 to 240 grit wet & dry would be OK on shoes and drum surface.
