R.I.P Peter Williams.

I met Peter at John Hudson's house in Pudsey when I was racing my TZ350G early 90s, old John pushing me around the paddock about 75yrs old then. Peter signed all my commando brochure as that was my road bike, still got them. R.I.P.

Does anyone know how many Monocoque Replicas have been built/sold by Peter Williams Engineering? I know they planned to build 25, but have never seen one advertised for sale.
If you haven't read Peter's book you must. Fascinating insight into the company's workings. RIP Peter.

Belgium....small country with lots of money! :)

Not like Italy....'Poor country with lots of rich people' ;)

Mick Hemmings might be someone to ask on the replica front, he built the engines and I think gearboxes. Or Norman White. And as one other possibility, Ragged Edge Racing who made fairings, and maybe seat/tank covers.

I think the only real answer is fewer than they hoped, as Peter had plans to use the income on another project.

Hi there
I just chat with Geert Blondeel, one of the belgiam owners of the replicas, here the infos he give me:
5 replicas where made, two belgiam owners, one dutchman living in Belgium, one in the US and #5 must be in Denmark or in Norway
Mike Hemmings was in charge of the engines and gearboxes, different workshop where in charge of the frame, front fork, fairing etc.
The price was not cheap; around 120.000 US$.
Geert tell me about some issues with the porosity of the weels, oil leaks and more.
Yves

Thanks for the information. Seems unlikely that A, one will come on the market and B, I could afford one without selling both kidneys.
