R.I.P. Charlie Watts

Can remember seeing them on the box in the mid '60s (TOTP or RSG, can't remember which but neither were missed with three older sisters in the house!)
What I do remember, though, was a close up of CW hammering his way round his kit, then leering into the camera as he wiped his nose on the sleeve of his jacket...
Ringo would never have done that.
Was driven by the music, it seems, rather than the lifestyle, so top bloke....

Keith Richards' book is an eye opener, and not just because he does actually remember most of it!
The Stones really were seen by some as Satan's representatives here on Earth, with a mission to corrupt it's youth.
'Let's Spend The Night Together?' No way, Jose....

Charlie once said to Keith that if he didn’t stop, he end up looking like Keith Richards....!

Probably the most laid back of the drumming greats.
That vaguely amused smile as the "Glimmer Twins" did their stuff.
Another significant loss!
They are our favorite band of all, have seen them 23 times over the years. Some tours we saw them twice and still didn't get no Satisfaction. What you said Rob reminded me of what my wife would say, "He always seems so happy" after that I noticed every time they showed him on the big screen he had a smile. He was her favorite Stone. R.I.P. Charlie.
