Just got my 1969 Type R tank back from Brent. He did a fantastic job making the Fireflake Red paint look subtle inside but very sparkly outside in the sun. Couldn't be happier with his work and his frequent communication during the process. Well done!

You do realise that we are all sceptical without pictures .......

Having attempted to match-paint the Titanic (Fireflake Blue) I can attest how difficult it is to get a perfect job (next to impossible for a hobbyist like myself), so I really appreciate ANY flaked paint job that even approaches Brent's work.

Hi Guys,
My name is Brent Budgor. I have a small motorcycle painting business, The Vintage Vendor, here in Vermont. I strive hard to do quality work at a fair price. Among the many Nortons I have done, I've painted both Jerry Doe's Interstate a couple of years ago and more recently his "Blue Stripe Commando" on the home page of this website. If you have painting needs, I hope you will consider my services for your Norton or any other brand of bike. I use top quality PPG materials and am dedicated to the craft and your satisfaction. Feel free to check my website (http://www.vintage-vendor.com), drop me an e-mail or give me a ring on my cel 802 839-9439. The site contains many high quality photos of Norton tins as well as many other brands in my Updated Gallery Section. GENERALLY SPEAKING I CAN HAVE YOUR BIKE COMPLETED IN 2 TO 3 WEEKS ONCE I RECEIVE YOUR PARTS AND HAVE MANY HAPPY CUSTOMERS THAT CAN ATTEST TO THAT. Happy Riding, Brent

Brent just completed painting the tank and side covers for my 1975 Norton Commando MK3 Roadster. They are finished in black with gold lettering and stripes as per original. No decals, all paint and the finished product is beautiful. Brent is great to deal with. His communication is super, sending progress photos throughout and responding quickly with any queries. Packaging on return shipment resulted in my tins returning safely and in perfect condition.

Testimonial: " Working with Brent The Vintage Vendor was a true pleasure. Admittedly, I was apprehensive about sending my parts across the country for this paint job, but I am very happy with the how the process worked and the results of the paint work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to other vintage Triumph enthusiasts looking for for quality paint work at a reasonable price."

Brent has done a number of Triumph and Norton paint jobs for me, both stock and custom designs. Quality on all of them has been excellent. His prep work is meticulous and his paint over paint technique, rather than using decals, gives a perfect multi-layer finish. He is great to work with, pricing is reasonable and turn around is usually 2-3 weeks.

While I realize that this is a Norton forum, I did own a '73 Norton Commando 750 a few years back, but that's not why I'm here. I'm here to rave about Brent's stupendous work, his spectacular communication and admirable enthusiasm for doing a great job and making his customers happy. Over the years I've restored numerous British bikes, but I have never been happier than I was when dealing with Brent and receiving his stellar "works of art." I've dealt with other painters in the past that left a bitter taste, so from now on I'm sending all my tanks and tins to The Vintage Vendor!

A few years ago he painted a "breadbox" tank for my '73 Triumph Tiger and did such a phenomenal job matching the unusual "speech balloon" scallops, that I recently had him paint the tank and tins for my '67 BSA WDB40. I strayed from the olive drab military paint of the typical WDB40 and mocked-up something that would bring a smile to my face everyday I rode it. I sent him my layout, color choices and decals for the top of the "POSSUM" tank and he executed it beyond what I could've ever hoped for. Brent's work and customer service are simply the best, as these photos can attest to...

Yes they work.

But please put a warning on the thread.

I opened the BSA picks... my eyes are still hurting...
