My real feelings are, should these people in power have access to the market at all? On BOTH sides.....
Money has a way of corrupting decisions. How many other decisions and votes are taken based on some investment somewhere. I'm sure it's rampant........
No. They should be forced to put their assets in a blind trust. Like most presidents before .45 have done.

I actually don't disagree with that.
However, how blind is blind.
Apparently, one of the Senators has it in a BT and is being called out on it..

Not only did Burr dump his own stock, but he informed his wealthy donors to dump theirs as well. All this AFTER reassuring the American public we would all be OK.

Cherry on top, he went on to vote against the COVID-19 relief bill for working Americans. Pure GOP

The Washington Post just reported Trump received intelligence reports in January of a coming pandemic. This is when Trump was peddling “Don’t worry, be happy”. He called it a Democrat hoax. When are the 40 some per cent who support Trump going to catch on? For christ’s sake this guy is totally unfit to be president. He would be a perfect political commentator for Fox. Trump’s motto, ‘Never tell the truth when you can tell a lie’.

One of the senators dumped a cool $3 million of hotel stocks and bought a butt load of video conference tech stock, same day of a intelligence pandemic briefing.

Sweet!

When its all over and dusted, remember who played it straight and who ripped you off, and act accordingly. My nearest car/fuel garage stole my sons wages 30 years ago , never been in there since and still advise others to stay clear.

We could go back and forth on this all day, I recognize your right as a fellow American to have an opinion and vote accordingly.

Both Dems and Reps have crooked actors. I'm not in love with Democrats but they represent the best path forward for the country. In my opinion.

All this bickering only serves our masters.
The American people deserve better than what we've got now and until we can look past our differences we will continue to be exploited.

Much respect Michael B.
Unfortunately Pete, most modern democracies have been left with “the least worst option” in recent elections. As a result, a majority of the populace is really pissed off but there is no one to get behind.

When I first started looking in to Coronavirus, I misunderstood the virus structure. The commonly circulated images seemed to me to show what we call an icosahedral viral strucutre, which is typical of many virus families, some of which I worked with a few decades ago (Adenovirus for example). Those viruses are made up of nothing but protein structures to form the "head" or outer particle shape, with the genetic material (DNA or RNA) packaged within. Now I realize I was incorrect, the Corona virus has a lipid "envelop" membrane forming its main shape, with protein molecules inserted through this outer membrane. This makes it much like Influenza, Measles and other major virus families and also makes it susceptible to agents that can break down that lipid membrane. That is why regular soap is effective...soap allows oils to be dissolved in water. Other agents that can "solvate" fats/oils should also be effective. As wrench heads, we all know from experience that products like WD40 can de-grease/de-grime surfaces. This is because of the basic chemical principle that "like dissolves like". Oils can dissolve other oils/greases. De-greasing agents like the citrus-based hand cleaners we've seen on automotive shops and SimpleGreen should also be quite effective, though are more harsh on the skin than standard soaps.

Here's a little video showing how soap does a good job:
