Indeed Shane: CHOICE.

Whilst your views are your choice, other people’s are their’s, and if your aim is to change people’s views on this forum, it’s failing 110%.

In fact, it’s having the opposite effect and all you are now doing is ostracising yourself further and further, for ZERO gain.

You’ve made your points, others have made their’s. It’s time to agree to disagree and move on. Cos this ain’t goin’ nowhere good!

Shane, as far as I can recall, no one here is saying the vaccines NEVER produce clots.

They do. You’re right. It’s a sad fact.

But the risk is simply MUCH lower. Like most things in life, it’s a risk balance question, just like we motorcyclists make every ride.

Until you can show a viable study that show the risk of the vaccine is greater than the risk of the virus, your argument is moot.

Maybe you missed another source of this same article posted earlier:

Note, the article is only comparing CLOT risk between the vaccine and the virus. Clearly, this is no where near the primary cause of death from the virus!

key point of the article is this: “The study found that the AstraZeneca jab was associated with excess cases of thrombocytopenia, or low levels of blood-clotting platelets, with 107 additional cases per 10 million people. But the figure for those infected with the virus was 934”.

So yes, the vaccine casued 107 clots per 10 million people. Note, they didn’t all die, but even if we assume they did, that would mean that if every man, women, child, baby in the U.K. was vaccinated the vaccine would kill around 726 people from clots. Which is bad. We’d all agree.

But, and it’s a big but…

To date, the U.K. has had 132,000 covid deaths and counting. It’s estimated the vaccines have prevented over 100,000 deaths to date.

So, without the vaccines we’d be looking at a minimum of a quarter of a million deaths in the U.K. alone by the end of this year… half a million by the end of next year… I’m not sure where to stop so let’s just stop here.

So the risk balance is as simple as this:

Maximum therotical number killed by the vaccine caused clots in U.K. = 726.
vs
Probable number killed by the virus up to end next year in U.K. = 500,000.

Thats why we’re all struggling to join your cause. It’s not that your outright wrong, you’re right, the vaccines are not 100% safe. But you are simply not looking at the whole picture, you are not looking at what would happen if everyone followed your idea.

I watched the video. He’s a respected Dr in his field, but it’s a different field. I fail to see why he is more qualified than the entire body of people, who’s field this actually is, whom he’s dismissing.

Perhaps one reason I feel like that is that I live in Oxford, and I know some people who are in the outer circle of Oxford Universities work in this field. Your man says covid changed his focus. Well so it did for many others, and when you see the sheer might, the sheer number of the worlds finest in the field all working together so hard on this, its awesome. And for a Dr who was absolutey unkown in this field to dismiss all that and claim he knows more, is just staggering arrogance.

Some people like to think vaccines were made by Bill Gates, or politicians, who’ve put chips in them etc. Well they weren’t, they were made by an unimaginably massive collection of the worlds experts all working together and all working for humanity. To think none of them noticed a chip being added, or overlooked something obvious, or they’re all in on it is, frankly, just silly.

But back to our little Norton world, when someone is not prepared to accept me saying ‘I respect your opinion, please accept mine’ and when they just keep on arguing after I’ve said that, then I’m done with them, be it on the Internet or in ‘real’ life.

Its a shame becasue I like your Norton Shane, and actually that’s why we’re all here. But you’re pissing me off to an extent I just don’t want now. I’ve never used the ignore button before, but as soon as I’ve figured it out I shall no longer see or respond to you further.

Well I have had no reaction from my jab yesterday but the wife has she is in bed with some aching and pain and headache but was told that it could happen for a few days after, but then she overreacts to a lot of things to do with her health, but I am sure she be nagging me soon as that is always a sign she feeling better.
We both had the AZ jab and the next one in 12 weeks time.

AZ gave me a headache and chills, gone within 24 hrs, first shot only. Second shot nothing, except for turning me into a NEWT.

my wife and me both now sixty had jabs back in March me Phz her Astra this week we both tested positive for C19 , she has lost sense of taste and smell but is otherwise fine, I started with a cough then high temperature sweating and shivering and felt like I had gone ten rounds with Mike Tyson this lasted three days and has now passed, I would not want to have got it without inoculation. we had attended a bar to see a band many of those there now have C19 . one friend with a compromised immunity is in ICU. we may have become complacent , take care folks , think for the foreseeable future I will stick to riding the Norton and avoid crowds.
