Hey everyone. I bought a PR front fairing and the bracket it came with I don’t think will be strong enough to hold the fairing.

Does anyone have a bracket and the two wing brackets that attach to the down tubes that they aren’t using?

Please let me know.

Thanks guys.

You may be able to find used ones but typically they would have been purchased with the fairings.

Is Fair Spares still operating, he may have some parts but I doubt it.

I assume you are heeding my warning about the fork range?

Hi Dave, yes I’m aware of the fork range.

Which bracket is better for that? The Norvil one with the spacer you used other the Andover bracket which is much more expensive?

Any thoughts on either of the two you are showing?

I assume you need the side brackets too?

If so then the total is only about $45 more (not including shipping) for AN.

$290 vs $245

Yes, it’s pretty reasonable. I wonder if the two are the same?
I doubt it. Norvil has had their bracket for a long time and AN just started offering it. Also my Norvil one (it's got to be 15 yrs old so take that into consideration as it may have changed) is a slightly different design.

My original Production Racing fairing bracket, was installed at the factory when my 850 PR was built in the winter of 1972/73 (I had to fab my own side brackets to use the "AMA" full fairing but the headstock bracket works fine). It is as the Andover Norton bracket 06-3938. It's very sturdy.

Dave, do you know the color you used to make your PR?

I’m going back to yellow and the Rustoleum Sunset Yellow I think is too pale.

Do you remember what color you used?

I’ll probably use a professional painter eventually, but I’m going rattle can now.

Mine is not painted. The color is in the gelcoat.
