Of course the one overwhelming, mitigating fact concerning Harry is:

He IS ginger !!!!
Hey watch what you say, I am a red head and proud of it, as for Harry and his, not sure what to call her, I really couldn't give a sh.t about them but putting shit on your own family is just not right and remember every family has a black sheep hidden somewhere, these so call people should just learn to shut their mouths, but then living on a zillion $$$$ for your whole life without really working for it for them to get more $$$$ and richer from these media companies so they can did up shit on the royals etc just don't do it for me.
But one day the bubble will burst and people will get all over the BS but I am sure they will find other ways to get more zillions to live their rich no need to work life style.

Yup
Hes getting led around by his pecker with a lousy B grade actress doing the towing. Doing her best using her marriage to H as a self promotion vehicle and to making sure its all about HER.
Usury epitomized.
She'll ditch him soon enough once the financial security is in place...for her. And blast him as all bad on her way to desired next level.
You would be depressed to if you were stuck with that Megan bitch.

Profound apologies.... I shouldn't generalise, of course, but with Chris Evans (not the actor), Neil Kinnock and Ed Sheeran in the ranks, it's easy to suggest a trend forming..
But again, vive la difference :)

So, first it was the U.K. that was overtly intrusive and institutionally racist.

Now it’s the US Constitution that’s wrong. Well, he says it’s wrong (or bonkers in fact), but also says he doesn’t understand it.

To summarise: not his country... not his politics... not his business... and he confesses he doesn’t understand it. But he’s still gonna preach to you about it...

As I'm waiting for the plumber today, I must ask: 'Where is the preaching?

"I don't want to start going down the First Amendment route because that's a huge subject and one which I don't understand because I've only been here a short time.'

The second sentence in this one seems to sum up a lot of the current press surrounding the man:

"But, you can find a loophole in anything. You can capitalise or exploit what's not said rather than uphold what is said."

Harry's problem (IMHO) is he isn't bright enough to see he's in a no win situation. The press won't do the same hatchet job on Charles or William because either could become King, even his Grandfather's rudeness was passed off as the actions of a 'loveable rogue'.
But Harry's fair game to them, it's real life soap opera for the masses with a storyline and cast a TV producer would die for. Just poke him with a stick for next weeks episode (or wait for his next misguided podcast).
He thinks he can make a difference, but sadly all he's doing is alienating people and providing free entertainment and copy for the tabloids and TV, and that's the only reason they love him..

I meant preaching according this this definition:

“the giving of moral advice in a pompously self-righteous way”.

Harry is a Royal not a politician. He is English, not American. And he actually admits to not understanding the very subject he publicly accuses of being ‘bonkers’.

How would you feel if some clueless foreigner started having a go at the fabric of U.K. society?

I will admit my knowledge of his comments have only come from the news article attached, I haven't heard (or seen) his full podcast..

But even from that (and I'm sure any true controversies would be highlighted) I can't see where he is 'having a go' at the fabric of their society.

I'm only speculating (or perhaps giving him too much credit) that given his treatment by the press he might have issues with the finer points of 'freedom of speech'... but again, short of actual specifics.

We obviously see this from different perspectives.
My view is that un utterly unqualified and very high profile foreign person, in fact, a member of the ’head of state’ of the U.K. is publicly criticising aspects of the American constitution.
I believe that is something best left to American politicians and citizens. I also believe that even then, if a high profile person wants to publicly criticise it, they should at least take the time to ensure they understand it first.

But actually I think its this topic that you mention that’s at the route of my personal angst:

“I'm only speculating ... that given his treatment by the press he might have issues with the finer points of 'freedom of speech'... ”.

I think you’re right, I personally believe that is his issue here... BUT... Harry seems to have made pretty full use of the notion of freedom of speech to trash his own family (alive and dead) AND our head of state and the entire institution along with it, yet any negativity towards him or Megan is evidience that the American Constituition is wrong...

Come on...!?!

Agree on rule number one: You don't sh*t in your own back yard.. In the USA he should be respectful to their constitution, but again, not sure he's actually condemned it rather than question it??

As for his own family, yes it's: 'dirty laundry' in public as far as immediate family goes, but again, press speculation and interpretation seems to be driving this forward rather than facts?? Again, I don't follow too closely but most headlines seem to be the authors take on the situation with the minimum of factual evidence

Semantics IMHO. When someone with his profile ‘questions’ something they are obviously criticising it. That’s my firmly held opinion.

As to the broader issues and media topics, I tend to agree, but that’s an issue with media accross the board, be it Harry, Brexit, Trump, or Covid! And that’s why things like Harry and Megan stories tend to divide opinion so strongly.

I do recognise my bias though. I’m clearly and unashamedly in the camp that thinks they are both acting incredibly inappropriately !

I am an American citizen and a legal full time resident of the UK. My comments on the UK are kept to a minimum because I see my position here as a GUEST. Harry is in the same situation. He is a GUEST in the USA and seems to have no notion of polite behaviour. His wife came here and acted like her sh_t didn't stink. One thing she didn't and doesn't know about royalty is that they are brought up never to be impolite. Rule number one and both of them clueless and worse, careless.
Hopefully they will fall from media grace and fade from our consciousness. May we be so fortunate.

Regardless which side of the fence anyone sits, until Mr T becomes newsworthy again I doubt there'll be much else keeping them off the front page :-(

God Save The Queen.
Without a doubt.... though upon her demise I think the monarchy should be allowed to go the way of fox hunting, red telephone boxes and sending little boys up chimneys.
Let them all 'step back.' (To borrow a phrase they seem to like using when the going gets tough)

I was long ago bored with the whole Royal saga, and with the American divoice fiasco- for a second time in this country- I was rather hoping when that couple went to live in the great US it would all quieten down. Not so, for like the proverbial boomerang he keeps coming back !

Wealthy people are often saner than many others, because they can afford to be themselves. Most other people are very beholden. We are all programmed from birth and moving outside of that programming is very difficult. Social climbers can only ever move one rung up the ladder. However 'if you have a victim's mindset, you will be a victim'. There is one important thing I learned during my working life. It is 'the system runs on bullshit' - if you don't have expectations, you will never be disappointed.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying but I have found in life that people that can afford to have a breakdown/time off work with depression etc etc that can afford it will so
Those that can't afford just soldier on
If you don't experience hardship how would realize your life is good!

If the Harry's wanted to they could disappear easily, go live in South America somewhere and be unknown in 12 months but they are addicted to the double edged sword of involuntary fame even if they do not realise it.
If you do not kindle that flame it slowly dies to a flicker.

For the love of a handsome woman anything is possible but the Harry's would soon tire of obscurity.
