Managed to damage the Clutch primary access cap today with too much force to a very tight cap.
Heat gun is the next attempt with a chisel , seeing as it's buggered anyways.
Are there caps available not made of soft aluminum ?
What is the best tool to use in the future ?

Both ends fit the large and small caps perfectly. The small end also fits the carb drain plug.

I have a set of stainless ones from Eurotrash Jambalaya:

I was worried initially about the aluminium of the primary case corroding around the stainless plugs, so I applied a smear of silicon grease to each.

They've been on there for over two years now, no issues and still look great.

I have a belt drive primary, so am tempted to add these, as I have them on another bike and I like the look:

I use the Andover tool as mentioned above to take them off and put them on.

A 5/8" or 3/4" (bolt size) flat washer fits well, turned with and adjustable wrench.

Clunky, heavy, and not particularly cheap, but the primary plug tool set Eurotrash Jambalaya sells works. I use it with abundant satisfaction. It would destroy those dry clutch screen plugs though.

Yeah, I would cut a big washer for those and use with locking pliers.

A large flat blades screw driver on its side using the side slot head in the caps and with long handle gives easy leverage on tight caps, have been doing this way for over 46 years and have never damaged the caps.
