After making the fuel height tool I got round to checking the Commando yesterday afternoon. I have Amal Premiers on the bike which have been fitted for 12 or so months and I’m pleased to say the both fuel levels are identical and at 0.2" below the top of the float bowl slap bang in the middle of the range specified by Amal (I took the measurement at the centreline of the float bowl as viewed from the side of the bike).
So all is good
