Rohan, yes that's probably just what I'm looking for, and what's more it's only 25 miles or so from me. 

I'm rather embarrassed actually especially as it's on my doorstep nearly  

I had done a google search and found  http://bikeclinic.co.uk/ who are busy until April and http://www.motocc.co.uk/acatalog/Repair_Center.html  which is in Portsmouth, so expensive to post to, but this is a much better option if they are able to do a good job.
