Sounds like a bit of a tosser if you ask me

"Swire was criticised after undercover footage was released of him mocking poor people and joking about getting luxury cars on MPs’ expenses at the Black and White Ball, a Conservative Party fundraising event in 2015"

Perhaps he needs to check out his own decibels on his Aston or similar

Thinking about the pipe noise, I love the crackle and pop and sound of them especially when slowing down. But you can keep them fairly reasonable when driving through villages by just lowering the revs and pulling the clutch in and freewheeling. I was out in the sticks today and came across a lady on a horse and thought I would startle the beast with a good old backfire just as I drew level, but nothing. Downed it a couple of cogs and pulled in the clutch and it was all good, we gave a mutual wave to one another and got back up to speed in a couple of seconds. So if you see anyone with a technical super duper decibel machine and I think if riding aware, you should be ok. Especially on a hand made british icon complete with black and white plate and still donning the front very responsible reflectors and standard winkers.

The crazy thing is my log book lists the 961 as 90db (at standstill) and 77db (drive by) @ 3750rpm... that's presumably with the nice quiet euro4 pea shooters so a lot of that db is going to be mechanical noise (engine). The decat+shorts isn't that bad and certainly doesn't come close to the V&H or Kerker stage 1 setups you get on H-D's so fingers crossed the police won't bat an eyelid.

Last weeks MCN contained this report ,the dark side of motorcycling we all wanna avoid, usually fools on bikes thinking there indestructible & riding as if on a race track, there are so many opportunities to go on a race track in the UK , we have enough of them ,never far from one of them.

The main picture shows the rider and pillion being lectured at by the police as her flip flops are apparently not CE approved for motorcycle use. Is this useful time spent? I can't image a response of 'thank you officer I really thought this clothing would protect me'. Can we please enjoy riding in the sunshine without leathers, knowing full well the risks we take, to bring a few fleeting minutes of pleasure into our short and wretched lives without an impromptu diatribe from the health and safety self righteous...

(touched a little nerve here in case you hadn't noticed)

He must love her a lot.....

This may seem a difficult concept for those in sunnier less traffic polluted regions but in the UK there is something fun and liberating about just getting on the bike and riding off into the sunshine instead of the usual agonies of shoehorning yourself into armour and damp leathers which were bought optimistically with the hope of that never-to-materialise diet in mind.

Of course some girls like a man who drives a smart little tax and fuel efficient car and tuts in a self congratulatory way as he watches the Adventure Sport Fails from his favourite TV armchair.......

There is also mention in the article of a biker taken to task for allowing his wheels to stray onto the solid centre white line. I like to plan my overtaking well in advance and this may include a look ahead ready for when the solid line ends and I may overtake.
