An angle grinder with a thin cutting disc has always worked for me when trimming fairing screens etc.I think that anything that uses a sawing motion is more likely to cause cracking.It might help to put masking tape on the screen so you can use a marker pen to mark out your cut line and cut through the tape and screen at the same time.Ensure the screen is warm ish. So, do it on a warm day, or keep the screen in the house overnight etc. Cold Perspex is far more likely to crack.
