Sorry to hear that, Richard. How did you get home? Curious as to what Stuarts problem was. Relay backed out? Always carry that 5MM hex key with you. I carry the 5 for the seat bolts and the 3MM for the IAM flange.
Britfan60,
My two breakdowns were, front sprocket dropping off! Fixed at the roadside by Terry from the AA.

Secondly, main relay vibrating out of its socket, insufficient packing in the relay box cover. Again fixed at the roadside by the AA.

Small pack of usefull tools always carried these days.

Hey Stuart I bey u feared the worst when u felt that front sprocket failed , See yer Tom

Wow. And roadside fixed that? We don't have that service here. Man...that's a good one. Mine was the relay. First I strapped it down, but changed that to just adding another strip of neoprene to inside the relay box.

First ride the year. It's now done over 300 miles so able to take it up to 4000rpm :D Though been doing that a bit already :p

Found my tyre pressure gauge was under reading and was putting 4psi too much in. Far smoother ride with correct pressure. I was thinking the suspension needed softening. Really enjoyed my ride!

Rode home from work this morning. Took the kids to school. Then went out for a 100mile ride from the beach to the hills. Love this bike!

What brand of exhaust is that?
Full system, or slip-ons?

Full 2:1 Zard titanium, black ceramic coated, dB killer removed.

I like the quick disconnect springs on the header-to-collector sections.
Do you have any drive chain rub issues on the rear of the pipe, or grounding on hard cornering?

No drive chain rub. I was worried about it coming close so I added a couple small spacers to the mounting point and made it about another 1cm further away. I dont ride aggressively enough to know if the exhaust is actually going to hit the ground. I imagine you'd have to be really leaning over hard before it would make contact.

I attended my local I.A.M. Club,s Slow riding brief recently, zoom in & see the little orange & white cones, had to nip thru the gap & then do figure of 8,sounds easy yeah ? But was it,eh no, the trick was to do the tightest figure of 8 without putting a foot down & as slow as poss, pushing the bars down to the left to lean bike over & your arse(ass) over the right of the seat,& then the slalom set of cones & then a tight U turn, came away humiliated

Richard
Did you get to the bottom of your problem, saw your pics of Donnington so looks like the bike is running?
John

You should have posted a pic of a rainy day at Southend to make ASAD jealous :D

Blighty,
Your wait might be longer than anticipated. Mine developed a problem during the service that wasn't resolved before I had to go, so I have left it with them. Sorry for the unexpected delay.
