Pictures of my Paint Job from Vintage Vendor

Im just trying to see if I can upload pictures. My bike is close to being complete so just practicing.

Looking good.

I hope you don't intend to use the stock airbox, or you'll have some disassembly to muddle through before it'll squeeze in there...

I'll just put it up to extreme inexperience.

GP if you rode here in the north, which I did and still do ... you would not have gotten stuck in rainstorms and had to hold up under bridge under pass to wait for your flooded ham can air filter to drain and to change your resultant flooded plugs on my 1970 commando.

The MKIII plastic airbox is the best all weather air box commando ever had.

OK if you never ride anywhere except on a sunny day from Macdonalds to the bar then home.

Dave,
I thought is was bar, McDonalds then home?

nice bike. I'm a big fan of painted fenders rather than chromed. I think it sets the body parts off from the mechanical parts, so the body parts and frame are painted, with the mechanical parts being either chrome or polished aluminum.

What's going on at the gearshift? It looks like you have both stock footpegs and rearsets. Trying to decide which is more ergonomic maybe???

That isn't the gearshift, it's the brake side (Mk3) so makes use of the original master cylinder and lever pivot.

Although it takes some twisting and turning the MKIII box does go in and out just fine. I just wish I could commit the exact position to memory for good. It seems to just pop in or out after seeming that it's just too big.

NICE PIECE OF WORK. THE COLOR AND PAINT JOB LOOKS GORGEOUS. I LIKE HOW YOU LIGHT UP THE WORK AREA. GREAT IDEA. HALF THE TIME I AM GROPING IN THE DARK. DON'T GET UPSET ABOUT MY USING ALL CAPS. I CAN SEE THE WORDS BETTER.

Well, the footpeg in the picture looks higher than my rearset footpeg (mine shifts the gearbox on the timing side) I can't imagine higher footpegs than I already have because I'm kinda' tall. In fact, Once I mounted mine, I wondered if anyone had already developed a fixture to mount them lower....

Thanks for the info LAB.... Again nice bike...

The light were inexpensive and I used LEDs so there is no heat issues, they really work well.
