Just the outrageously expensive long opens from Norton. Not as loud as the shorties but I think suit the bike better and give a proper brit twin noise.

looks lovely that whats she like with those pipes?

These pipes sound amazing, but my only comparison is the stock pipes which completely neutered the character of the engine and seemed to magnify the mechanical noise.

All of my bikes have after-market exhaust systems and all have very unique sound qualities, but the 961 is the most addicting.

I've been considering trying to get the Norton-offered MOTAD long open pipes, but they're not available in the U.S., due to Norton's agreements with state and federal air resources boards. Will need one of my UK mates to help out with that.

Dozer, are these the same diameter as the stock pipes? I do like that the SBT pipes are smaller in diameter than the stock ones. From the picture, it looks like they're quite similar outwardly to the stock exhaust?

Have you had any problem with grounding the long opens? I had my stock exhaust on recently and while pushing it a bit, grounded both the kickstand and the underside of the welded seam on the left muffler.

The are externally the same as stock, just with a much bigger aperture internally. Ive never grounded anything other than the side of my boot on the 961 though. The bike should have the 077 remap to free of enough fuel to make them run properly.

It also hasn't fouled on the bike anywhere.

If you want to pay postage I can get a set from Krazy Horse and courier them over to you?

Hmmm, it looks like the pipes from Norton are about the same price as the pipes from South Bay (aside from shipping and such). Now I need to choose between them. Does your generous offer extend to me, and what would you charge for your trouble, for both the d-cat X-pipes and long open pipes? PM if you'd rather not say in the open.

These are from the day I picked it up a few months back, but I'll be doing some glamor shots soon.
