I purchased a sure fire pazon for my Commando, but I'm not sure it's well mount by me.
This is the procedure that I followed:
1. I turned on the engine to right cylinder TDC;
2. I switched the engine back and align the rotor to coincide with 31 degrees.
Now I have to assemble the trigger, the red point must be aligned with the hole of anti lock timing,  but which one of the two????
Within the trigger, you see a small channel, what is it???
Can someone help me???, sorry, i cannot understand well the installation instructions.
Thank you all.
Regards.

The rotation direction is anti-clockwise (Google translation: in senso antiorario) , so you can set either one of the two red paint marks to the hole marked 'Anti-clock timing' (Pazon instructions photo at Fig. 4) it does not matter which red rotor mark you use.

Ins. 20
Some Triumph models may have a
locating pin fitted into the end of the camshaft.

Dear Les,
I would to say that into the trigger there is a notch.
Butc is correct what i made before (TDC, round back to 31degree???).

OK I think I know what you mean, a locating notch in the rotor taper?

If that is what you mean then you can disregard it, the notch is there for Triumphs as they have a locating pin inside the camshaft taper for the AAU but the Norton camshaft does not have the pin.

Yes turn crank in normal direction to TDC (left or right cylinder on compression as it does not matter) then in reverse direction (backwards) to 31 deg BTDC.

And after having checked the timing as described before, verify too that the rotor of the trigger is properly tightened on its spindle (by the M6 allen scew).
When installing my Sure Fire and after having checked the timing, I noticed that it was exactly set at 31° BTDC. Right first time !
but after a few tries, ignition was getting worse and worse, only because the trigger rotor had moved from the initial correct position to a much more retarded timing, only because it was not tightened.

Hope it helps.

M6 ?

It's 1/4" - 26 BSF (standard camshaft).

My mistake! Sorry guys.

It was a M6 screw on the "sort of magneto" replacement case I used on my Dommie. It's the type of screw you say when fitted on the camshaft on a C'do.

Dear Sir,
What is C'do.
Sorry, but i am Italan and do not understand such abbreviations.
