Hi All.
The Pazon Sure Fire should be mounted with two 6V coils.
Currently I only have two 12V coils.
There are serious contraindications if initially i use two 12V coils?.
Thank you.

Ignition Coils

When using the standard arrangement of two ignition coils (whether 12 Volt or 6 Volt), they must be connected in series, as shown in the wiring diagrams on page 7. Do not connect the coils in parallel. For low compression ratio engines (less than 9:1), two 12 volt coils connected in series can be used, but we strongly recommend running with two 6 volt coils connected in series or one 12 volt dual output coil with a primary resistance of 3 to 4.5 ohms

Hi Les,
i mean that Pazon prefer the two 6V coils in series.
But the question is if i can use the 12V coils in series without troubles?

Too high electrical resistance = very poor spark. I would think starting would be difficult. It might run though.

Yes, you can, but as Keith pointed out, the spark output from two 12V coils connected in series will not be as good as two 6V coils.
If you want to try using two 12V coils then it's your choice, as long as you know what to expect.

Its simple maths. 2 x 6v coils in series add up to 12 v. 2 x 12v coils in series add up to 24v. The Norton only has 12v.
