Country flag
Over the clutch locating clip, referencing the spacer with the relief: there is a wider, very similar but with a smaller ID, where does that go?

Thinking rear wheel maybe?

Could be, but the relief doesn't "do" anything? It does fit the end of the crankshaft properly.

Maybe clearance for the end of the taper in case of interference? A proper seat for the shims that might or might not be needed? Anyway I think that must be it!

I have spares for my spares. Just in case.

Ya, old age makes us forget we have things, buy them, forget again, and buy more. Now if we could just remember to buy what we really need!
I buy a tool or gadget of some kind from an autojumble
I take it to my workshop and go to put it on the shelf only to find there is already one there unused !!!!

I've moved around so much the past 7 years that I have things still packed up in boxes, that I don't remember what's in which box (different moving companies, lost and mostly bogus inventories, and unfortunately no room to unpack my stuff). So I have had to buy things that I know I already have, but just can't find it. Makes me nutz!

I am lucky as I have only moved 2x in my whole life when I ran away from home, but the last 40 years I been back to my original home where I should have stayed all along, but even not moving I still lose my tools, replace them to find the old tools later, but the worst thing is lending some tools to mates to make their job easy for them to never see those tools again.
When I replaced my old Boyar with the Joe Hunt Maggie my old Boyar was still good I lent it to my mate when he brought a Norton chopper and told him its a boomerang for it to come back to me when he got his own, but he sold to bike not long after with my Boyar still on it, I wasn't happy with him and no longer help him out with giving him things and we been mates all our lives, but I am one of these persons who can't help but to help your mates out, pity it don't happen in return much, but I am a sucker for punishment lol.

Yeah I've lost 2 tools for Nortons over the years never to hear from the borrowers again. lol.
Plus a gearbox shell , cables too , but they boozed and doped me up so all was forgiven.

Beers and pot is when I put things down and 5 minutes later I can't find them, sometime for not till weeks later, I am good at losing things in my shed lol.

Or looking for a wrench for half an hour and find it sticking out of your back pocket. Evil weed it is.

I moved to this house 2 years ago, and now have both a garage and a walk-in basement. Previous residence had a big walk-in basement though getting the Norton in and out was a chore. After 20 years though I could literally find any tool or Norton part in the dark. A place for everything and everything in its place. Now stuff is split between 2 locations with different shelf configurations and I find myself asking, "Where the hell did I put that? I know I have one!"

I'm a sucker for buying spices for cooking. Used to keep it all in a cardboard box. After putting up a proper spice rack I found that I have enough cinnamon to last a lifetime.

If pot gets involved I end up "reorganizing"my tool chests and then spend another day putting it all back where it was.
The inspiration of Panama Red can be short lived.
