P11's still winning awards. Especially in their natural enviornment.

My rough & ready P11 is still turning heads. Rode it on the mob run at the recent Cycle World High Pipe Festival in the Angeles Crest area. About 10 miles off road and 20 miles on great twisties. What do you know, I was awarded peoples choice for best in the mountain. I dedicated the win to Mike Patrick and the guys at ZDS Motors who developed our P11'S nearby in Glendale, CA. I was channelling Mike all weekend. Quite a few of the old timers there knew the history of these bikes. More photos later?

Nice to see that a non restaured bike in the first place. Are mentalities changing?

Yeah, I came across a blog post about that event a little while ago and right away recognised the bike. I especially liked the caption under one pic that said something like "Jerry Kaplan's survivor P11 gave the newer bikes a real run for their money" or words to that effect.
