The Oregon Norton Enthusiasts held a Spring Tech Session today. It was to help people get their bikes running or toward the road at least.

ONE Spring Tech Session

As with all tech sessions there are a bunch of people standing around drinking beer while occasionally throwing out advice.

If you recall from this thread stubborn-rear-wheel-spindle-t15441.html Mike was having a tough time getting the rear axle off. Well, this is one way to get it off.

They slipped on a spare wheel so he could get it back home as a roller. A new axle is on the shopping list.

The nice thing about having so many people around is that it's easy to move bikes around.

ONE Spring Tech Session

Taking the patient home for more work.

A couple of the guys rode there. They have the kind of bikes that don't need work on them.

ONE Spring Tech Session

Getting the next victim ready for surgery. Rear brake work on this one.

The actual supervisor, or should I say "cookie thief."

There's sure a lot of grey hair and droopy butt jeans there. Not that I should say anything. My 'blonde' hair is disappearing through my nose and ears.

Trailer has a flat tire.. hope he didn't have far to go. And, DAMMIT it's riding weather there! :x

I must have a different opinion than others as I think commando's look alot smarter with the blackcap mufflers

It's teasing season here. One or two days of decent weather... then more rain. Repeat. Not enough for me to dust off the bikes.

I told Mike about the tire. He didn't listen to me. :(

Nope there's two. Kinda biased as I have them and they're embossed with the Norton logo which looks great. Did any of the other variations of Commando pipes carry any any logos?

Tech sessions are great. Let's everyone look a bikes different to theirs. Here in the New England club I've done 2 a month (1st and 3rd saturday) for the last 4 years.
Unfortunately I've had to cut back to the first Saturday only starting Jan 2013.
Lots of little jobs that guys can't do on their own get done for free. :D

I don't think they had too many bikes. You saw the butchery they did to Mike's bike. Then the MkIII with a rear brake but I don't think there were any more bikes. Most guys in the club either don't have bikes or don't ride them much. And then there are some (like the yellow Norton and Vincent guys) who ride almost year round.
