For what it is worth, seems like if I filled above halfway between the two marks it just got puked out. Always check hot after a ride in case you have some wet sumping.

I have found this as well , they are tricky to nail that half way position sometimes, I have finally bought a smaller oil syringe , it will be easier than my big clunky sludge gun , I had issues twice, with levels and oil drip and now replaced the cork in the cap .cheers

Sketchy at best .
Most important is do not over - fill , or anywhere near that . Stay low to medium . Differing models used differing dip stick lengths just to confuse you . Enjoy .
It is quite well known that the marked level line is 1/2" too high. The factory got it wrong. And, given the constant wet sumping it is impossible to get right unless the level is checked immediately after running.
