Oil send & return lines

While sitting on the bike---850 command0--- does the left oil line of the two that bolt to the engine go to the oil filter (in )-----and the right hose that bolts to the engine goes to the bottom of the oil tank (bolt on large banjo) ??? The out line from the filter attaches to the bottom end of the smaller long metal return line on the oil tank. Am I right??? Thanks

Yes, inner (left hand) pipe connects to filter IN (oil return pipe) and the outer pipe to the banjo (oil feed pipe)

Your '74 model's feed/return lines should be connected up the same.
