Oil Scraper Piston Ring Gap

Hey all,

I’m installing some +0.040 Hepolite rings on my 750 Commando. I can’t seem to find a spec for the bottom oil ring gap. Gap is currently at 0.009” out of the box.

What does the gap measure on the top & middle rings?

Rule of thumb is minimum .003" gap per inch of bore.
