blurb .

Lars Lykkegaard’s 1954 Norton frame hides modern machinery under its classic looks. Powering the retrofitted beast is a 2010 Triumph Thruxton 865 engine, a perfect addition under the vintage frame. The rest of the bike is built up with modern components. The final result is a cruiser that took a few test drives down the street before heading off on a continental adventure across Europe.

" CRUISER " :?:  yes well . whatever next .

Can? or build in progress? Do it...why not, Matt? & you`ve done a featherbread Triton home-made sandwich before..

Ohhhh. shiny, lotsa elbow grease. But whats with the barge-arsed pipe set -up? No wonder you cant ride it in the gridlocked traffic...

Spit.. &.. polish....cunning plan...gotta be smart to outwit the wily asiatics eh? Using the old Mark Twain , paint the fence - type scenario, eh, Brer Rabbit?

actually I sold and shipped the bike to Melbourne, anyone worth their salt in Melbourne would know of it

Not a bad effort, but I think a better use for a wideline frame would be to house a two valve Jawa engine for historic racing.

actually mine is a Slimeline frame purpose built for the Hinckley engine, I used to manufacture Slimline frames , so I I made one for specifically for this engine. the Hinckley engine does not fit directly in to Wideline or Slimline frames, others have butchered Norton frames to make the engine fit, Also a section of my top frame was removeable to allow top engine access.

Is there a thread anywhere on where to apply the crowbar , for anyone thinking of attempting to build one , :?:

Dont temp me, Matt...asking for advice on crowbar application points..seriously though, I think they used tubes in the f`bed frame, but Dr Bauer disliked all the bends in `em, so you might be best sticking to your angle grinder & some views of that spaceframe...

Now, - that is funny...oh the irony. Or were you being sarcastic? L.O.L.

Could be a market for kits?

tell me about it, I was approached by Triumph NZ to consider supplying them with complete rolling chassis's
and they were going to fit brand new engines, they were going to sell them alongside new Triumphs.
at the time I had other plans , I actually sold THAT Triton to an englishmen whose plan was to use THAT bike
as a sample to produce a batch of 10 identical bikes, he wanted me to supply all the major components.
I really wasnt interested, I dont think his plan ever got off the ground. I retired and moved abroad,
I think!!!!
