I have seen on a you tube channel ,Jesses vintage bikes i think a yellow Combat with a small nacelle / bikini fairing which fixed to the headlamp fixings without having to move the headlamp forward , looked pretty neat to me, any ideas where i could find one ?
Thanks and merry Christmas to you all.......

I purchased one similar to below from Ali Express for my XS650:

I don’t think it buffers much wind, but I was building a custom dash to house an oil pressure gauge and it worked well.

The brackets are thin enough to attach to the headlight ears that no modifications are needed.

I have a small WS about like the one Vidar shows but a good bit taller. I cut out the circle for the headlight so it sits lower and the wind blast is below my helmet yet the bottom part offers some protection for my legs if it's chilly or wet.

As regards the carpet: Such confidence of no oil leaks! My wife won't even let on on ours with shoes on.

You could try one of these, if you can find one. A friend left some 90's Triumph stuff to me. I think Thunderbird. Bolts right up. 7" light. Maybe longer bolts and a spacer. Looks good with low bars on the Norton. Looks like two kinda sorta the same bits, except the one left to me went under the headlight and had more rise.

You have an XS650? I had an XS2 in ‘74, my all time favorite bike, sounded great and such torque!

Some Seasons the I.o.M. had a fly or two about . They stick in the teeth . Hence the ' Fly screen ' .

With a hole for a headlight ? . Main purpose is to brush the bugs aside . ' DEFLECTOR ' throws them over your head into the guy behind . In front of the screen , here . keeps the screen clean , in part .

Or if you want less Drag , you just Sieve Them . then they dont stick in the teeth .
